§ 02 · INSTALLATION
All NORDEN units share a common 142 × 102 × 48mm enclosure, mounted via DIN-rail clip or M6 wall bracket. The unit is field-serviceable; the sensor module pops out from the front via two M3 captive screws. Mean time between sensor replacement: roughly 4 years for PM, 6 years for gas.

§ 04 · COMPANY
NORDEN was founded in November 2018 by Dr. Annika Lindqvist (formerly of the Royal Institute of Technology) and Henrik Ljungberg (formerly of ABB Industrial Automation), after eight years of work together on industrial air-quality instrumentation. The company's first office was the basement of Annika's grandfather's machine shop in Bromma, and the first units of the NRD-01 were assembled, by hand, on a four-station workbench Henrik had built the prior winter.
Seven years later, we are thirty-two people — twenty-two of them engineers — and we manufacture the NORDEN line in a leased facility on the south end of Stockholm. We are not large. We do not aspire to be large. We have, on purpose, kept the company small enough that every product we ship is reviewed in person by either Annika or Henrik before it leaves the factory.
What we build is industrial-grade environmental instrumentation for facilities — steel mills, petrochemical refineries, container ports, locomotive works, battery gigafactories — that need to know, continuously and reliably, what is in the air around their operations. Our customers do not want a smart thermostat. They want a rugged measurement device that will last ten years on a pole in the rain at -30°C, and report through a 12.8 km LoRaWAN link to a system they already own.
We sell direct, in batches of fifty units or more, with standard 5-year warranty and unlimited firmware support. We do not sell through Amazon, distributors, or resellers. For evaluation units in quantities of one to four, please contact our engineering team directly via the form below — we will respond within one business day. Most engineering evaluations turn into a deployment within sixty days.
§ 05 · REQUEST EVAL
For volumes of fifty units or more, we typically ship a free 4-unit evaluation kit within three working days. Includes one NRD-04, two NRD-02 indoor units, one NRD-04-X for hazardous-area testing, all cloud-connected for 90 days, and an engineering call to review your specific deployment constraints. No purchasing commitment.
