Well-child visits
Standard well-child schedule from the first week onward. Growth and development tracking, immunizations on the AAP schedule, plenty of time to ask the questions on your list.
Four physicians, no nurse-only visits, same-day appointments when your kid is sick. We've cared for 4,800 families across Burlington since 2009 — and we'd love to be yours.
We see kids from day one to eighteen. Same doctor every visit when you want one, the whole team when you need backup. Standard well-child care, vaccinations, sick visits, lactation support, developmental screening, and adolescent transition planning — under one roof.

Call before 11am, see a doctor today. Fevers, sore throats, rashes, the truly mysterious cough — we keep our schedule open every morning for this.
Comprehensive developmental screening at 9, 18, 24, and 30 months. Concerns at any age get a longer dedicated visit — never wedged into a well-check.
Two IBCLC-certified consultants on staff. First newborn visit always includes feeding support, and follow-ups are free for the first six weeks.
Confidential teen visits starting at 12. Mental health screening, sports physicals, transition planning to adult care — at the patient's pace.
Full AAP-recommended schedule, plus travel consultations for families heading abroad. We stock all standard pediatric vaccines on-site.
Every doctor in our practice is board-certified in pediatrics. Most have been with us for at least seven years. We hire for empathy first, brilliance second — though we won't hire anyone who isn't both.

New families always have the same questions. Here's how it actually goes — start to finish, so there are no surprises on day one.
A 20-minute first-visit slot opens in two business weeks for well checks; same day for sick visits. Pick your preferred doctor or take whoever is available.
Upload prior records through the portal, or have your old practice fax them. We'll review them before your child walks in — no surprises in the room.
First visits run a full 60 minutes — not the typical 15. The doctor meets the whole family, takes a long history, and gives you space to ask the questions on your list.
Within 48 hours you'll get a written summary in the portal — visit notes, any referrals, and the next-visit timeline based on your child's age and needs.
Well-child visits are scheduled for 30 minutes, first visits for 60. We will never double-book you, never push you through to make room, and never bill you for the questions you forgot to ask.
When you sign on with us, you sign on with a specific doctor. Continuity matters more in pediatrics than almost anywhere else — your doctor will remember your child's history without reading the chart.
Messages through the portal get a real human reply within one business day. Phone calls between 8am and 6pm reach a person, not a recording. We take continuity of communication as seriously as continuity of care.
After three other practices in two years, we finally found a place where our daughter is treated like a person, not a chart. Dr. Walsh remembers everything — even what stuffed animal she brought last time.
We accept all major commercial plans, Vermont Medicaid, Dr. Dynasaur, and TRICARE. Co-pays and visit fees are quoted in the portal before your child's first visit. No surprise bills, full stop.
Same-day sick visits, after-hours nurse line, and Saturday morning clinic for families with weekday schedules. The phone is answered by a real person from 8am to 6pm.
Newborn through age 18. We see most patients from their first week of life — many parents schedule a prenatal visit during the third trimester to meet the doctor before delivery. We transition adolescent patients to adult primary care between ages 17 and 19, and we'll help arrange that handoff when the time comes.
Two business weeks for routine well-child appointments. Same day for sick visits if you call before 11am. New-patient first visits are typically scheduled within three weeks. Saturday morning slots are reserved exclusively for established families with weekday schedule conflicts.
Yes, for established patients only, primarily for follow-up visits, medication checks, and minor concerns where a physical exam isn't required. Telehealth slots are 15 minutes; we'll convert to an in-office visit at no charge if your doctor decides the matter needs to be seen in person.
For true emergencies, please go to the UVM Medical Center emergency department or call 911. For after-hours questions and minor concerns, our nurse triage line is open 6pm–8am on weekdays and all weekend. The line is staffed by Vermont-licensed pediatric RNs who have direct messaging access to your child's doctor.
We follow the AAP-recommended immunization schedule and we're transparent about that. We're happy to talk through any concerns and to share the evidence behind each vaccine. We do require children in our practice to be vaccinated according to the standard schedule (with medical exemptions only) — this is a decision we've made together as a practice, in the interests of all our patients and their families.
First-visit appointments open most days within three weeks. We'd love to meet your family. Click below, fill in three fields, and we'll be in touch within one business day.
